Hey, Joe Staton is at Comic Con this weekend!

Good morning guys!

Whew! What a relief! The fireman showed up!

Fireman Jim shut his eyes all the way

While shooting water all through the long day

Unfortunately for him all he had was bad luck

So his hose was directed towards his own fire truck

Oh well he figured, at least I’ll save time

Removing all the dirt, the grease and the grime

Meanwhile Da Man with the heart of pure gold

Wasn’t about to wait for the word to be told

As the duo emerged with their bundles so large

It was simple to see which one was in charge

How this story will end might be open for debate

But I’m certain that Blackjack will accept what’s his fate

The path towards what’s good can be littered with much pain

But the end of this road will be for everyone’s gain.

Three cheers for Blackjack!

Uh-oh, the wind has caught Tracy’s hat! Hey, Bill & Gweed, wile you’re in there, grab it would you? We don’t want to miss having it in the Tracy hat museum!

Once Blackjack passes his load to Sam, he will disappear in the thick smoke.

Of coarse they need help. Hickman needs help getting the cuffs on him if he was the one who started the fire, and Tracy needs help getting his hat back.

Can anyone help me ID the item in the lower-right corner of panel 2? I’m guessing it’s part of a firefighting apparatus, but I don’t know what it would be. Thanks in advance.

I wonder if Blackjack is going to take off after he knows everybody is safe.

He seems to have more of a conscience than a whole lot of non-crooks.

I love this comic. Thanks for doing such a great job!

At this point in time

I have not a rhyme

To expound or explain

This ache in my brain

But what I can say

Tracy’s hat blown away

Will Blackjack retrieve

Or a trick up his sleeve

Advantage be taken

His coughing been fakin’

Escape he will make

Yellow hat he will take

To add to collection

And feed the obsession

My last rhyme for the week

I am humbled and meek

From all of your praise

For the last several days

now I need a nap! lol

I’m guessing the combination of Blackjack and Sparkle hitting it off, and him saving people at the bank, is leading up to him turning officially “good” and joining Tracy in some capacity fighting crime instead……if the Mole can turn good guy after those murders, Blackjack is a piece of cake!

Looks like old man Tracy is not in as good shape as Blackjack. He seems barely able to make it out carrying a woman, while Blackjack is far ahead and less wobbly-looking while carrying a man! At least the Fire Department is finally on the scene; now, (cough cough), get those folks some oxygen! (And I do hope Tracy can retrieve his scorched hat for the Famous Fedora Collection of battered hats!)
