I found out at work today that my hours are being cut. It’s not only me. It’s happening to other people too, including my boss and Chief Executive. My wages are decreasing a little as well but I don’t know how much. My boss had a word with me about it in her office because she didn’t want me worrying all weekend. So starting from 2nd October, I will only be working 4 days a week (Mon-Thur) A positive thing about it: FRIDAYS OFF! So that means a long weekend all the time.
My boss also mentioned my contract. If there is no funding coming in then they will have to let me go after December. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. It’s the waiting that’s the worst. Cutting my hours will increase the chances of getting my contract renewed because there will be money saved for it.
I went to the city twice! On Saturday and on Bank Holiday Monday. I’m taking my next holiday from work 11th September – 18th September because we all received additional hours and they have to be used.
