Doesn’t look like Buddy needs any guidance. He’s wearing that fedora with panache. Martin will soon get jealous.

Rule #1 of wearing a fedora: don’t look like you need guidance.

    It just isn’t cool.

I am reminded of when Happy had a fedora day:

    Mornin" Ballardeers !

Forgive the ole Capt for not being to active around Ballard Street lately but the First Maite and I have been entertaining royalty.Princess Polly of Palatka is visiting us from the wilds of Florida and since she no habla español we’ve been acting as guides and interpreters.

She’ll be departing late Friday night and by Monday things should be back to their normal insanity here at La casa de los abuelos !

Princess Polly is an old friend and this is her first time out of the U.S.A. so it’s been a real adventure for her and a communication challenge for her and my First Maite", who speaks practically no English.

Anyway…I’ll be back on my favorite perch at the *Tiki

come Monday. Have a great week !

The van was the perfect thing for setting up for the parade yesterday.

I had several comments from people that walked by about how comfortable the deck chairs with pads looked.

Unfortunately i only had one client there, but she had a wonderful time.

And it only happened for her because i could get non folding chairs in the van and get to the parade route early to set up.

Im seriously considering looking into actually joining the parade next year.

There’s a lot that goes into wearing a fedora. “Jaunting”, shadow angling, tipping for the ladies, wind securance…

With beards making a comeback, can fedoras be far behind?
