Are there any children in the 2010s (compared to those in the 1980s) who like Elvis?

Michael is Rick Blaine and Martha is Captain Louis Renault and Camp Kawkawa is Casablanca. This is almost as romantic as when Humphrey Bogart said, "Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.”

According to the Elvis’ 40th anniversary commemorative, Elvis is still the king. The commemorative books reveal Elvis to be as scandalous as any modern rocker so there ought be no reason to dislike him.

How does anyone not like Elvis? It doesn’t compute!

This strip kind of reminds me of how FBOFW eventually became- Michael and his trials/tribulations with the opposite sex. Neat little “meet cutes” and bouts of introspection. After years and years of “kids fighting & annoying Elly”, it’s nice to hit the “next level”, where Michael grows up a bit.

Well, no wonder they’ve been cast into the Outer Darkness. Imagine, hating Elvis.

I rather like Elvis ( great foot movement in his early videos ) His wife Diana opened a Neil Young concert I attended a few years ago,and sniffled all through the set! Neil was incredible of course.

A boy across the street from us is an Elvis impersonator. He is about ten years younger than my son (who is knocking on 40). Anyway, they were a very troubled family, and there was police at their door frequently. He’s the only one who made “something” out of himself and when the mother died, she left the house to him, since he’s the only one who has any income to keep it up. He told us the story one day, when we saw him on the driveway in his costume, when we were out walking the dog. He said that usually he changed at the venue, (that’s why we didn’t know, I suppose), but that day he was late. We didn’t even know his mother died, but that’s another story…

I liked his music but not that much. Some of his movies are entertaining. Which he and Bruce Lee could have teamed up for a movie.

Elvis was one of those entertainers that I could take or leave. Some of his songs are great, others are pretty much “meh”. I do however, have a friend who is a die-hard Elvis fan. She’s almost 70, and her main birthday present last year was a life-sized cutout of Elvis for her bedroom.
