I used to drive a shiny green Beetle. I had no idea a bird ate it.

Ash Trees may care, provided that what one had consumed is an Emerald Ash Borer..

Sounds like a Japanese Beatle. Or at least like Moko Jono from the Powerpuff Girls episode entitled, “Meet the Beat-alls”. But no. Moko Jono was a monkey, not a beetle. You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all absurd.

Japanese beetles aren’t actually colorful. They lack pigmentation and are colored by nano-scale carapace irregularities that create a metallic iridescence. Weirdos…

Not an angry bird, an indifferent bird, but very blunt about it, which bespeaks an urge to ruffle feathers. An aggressive stance couched in neutral words and memes. You see it a lot.

Call and response. The one with the most territory is dominate.

Wasn’t that one of the tasks set Hercules, to impart the idea of the experience of a really awesome flavor to somebody without taste receptors?

The beetle eater and some frequent commenters provoke similar reactions.

Mockingbirds. They will mimic the tone and general structure of a song, but not the actual note progression. They also nested in the Teen Titans’ chimney. That was nuts!

The Passive-Aggressive White-Capped Chickadee (tip o’ the hat to the esteemed Brass Orchid for coining the identification) has the right attitude for today’s internet-driven humor: cold, heartless, and blunt. Besides, shiny green beetles are so cheap and abundant that consuming one or a dozen (they’re cheaper by the dozen) is hardly noteworthy. Pathetic! Lame!
