I'm hungry. Ask your mom for a snack so you can share with me. Mom, can I have a snack?! Dinner's in an hour. Have a carrot. Phooey, I hate carrots. But you like carrot cake. This is true, I surely do. Can I have some flour with it?!
I had a dog who was entered into a dog food eating contest. He finished well ahead of all the others, but was disqualified because the bowl was surrounded by carrot pieces that he threw out while gobbling the rest of the ingredients.
My dog has food allergies and eats carrots and apples as treats. My dog growing up would eat a bowl of stew and leave perfectly cleaned off peas in a little pile at the bottom of the dish.
We gave my first sheltie carrots as teething toys when he was a puppy. He loved them for the rest of his long life.
But then, the only thing I ever remember him refusing to eat were cherry tomatoes.
