    Getting his mind on pogoing? It was about a year after this that Pogo Possum ran for president and the country saw the proliferation of “I Go Pogo” buttons in answer to Eisenhower’s “I Like Ike.” Politics weren’t as strange then as they are today, but even then there were campus riots at Ivy League universities that grew out of Pogo rallies.

    One of the Originally Appeared reads August 12, 1959 the one on the bottom states November 8, 1966. Which one is right?

    Nancy appeared a lot earlier than 1959. From Wikipedia: On January 2, 1933, Bushmiller introduced Fritzi’s niece, Nancy.2 Soon she dominated the daily strip, which was retitled Nancy in 1938. Comics historian Don Markstein detailed the evolution, as the readership of Fritzi Ritz increased.
