MARK TRAIL & PHANTOM: I don’t want to look… These strips are both dark & heavy right now. I prefer lighter fare over my morning coffee… e.g., the strips above (G, RM, FW & MW).
JUDGE PARKER: I think we are into another story that would work better in a graphic novel. I remember when this strip was FUN, e.g. the Old Hardy fishing-lodge story.
Don’t think much of the strips today. Is what happened to Johnny the reason the sheriff took two horses. I don’t know why anyone would want to associate with Mark given his track record.

@woodworker – I don’t think the sheriff knows yet what happened to Johnny.
@Florchi – I agree about the Phantom strip, and Mark Trail has turned dark too. I don’t know where Phantom is headed so I’ve decided not to care.
