I wonder what the deal is with CNN, they let Lou Dobs get away with worse comments on air than Rick’s faux pas on the radio, and they can our guy the next morning, Jesus… I wonder if we’ll have to do another signature drive to put back this hunk of brown yummy back on network news….
Guess we latino’s don’t have a right to take advantage of the 1st ammendment right of free speech to make asses of ourselfs like the rest of the commoners =P no fair.
The problem is that news in general has degenerated from objective observation and reporting into political advocacy. The fourth estate is in danger of disappearing because infotainment is more profitable than information, even though an informed public is essential to democracy.
The legitimate role of the newsman is to report how the public feels about being on a plane, and never to offer his own feelings about being on a plane.

And now Juan Williams has been fired by NPR for saying he feels uncomfortable flying on a plane with a Muslim.
It sometimes seems a Spanish name helps to get a job, but it doesn’t seem to help in keeping one.
