Yeah, that’s me, every morning. My body will wake up but my brain says, “Go ahead, I’m staying here for a hour”. My wife has never complained about a trail of slime.
Growing up is a strain on the body. Ya goes to bed with one set of dimensions and wake up in a completely different body. Bones lengthened, toes grown, nose begins to run (a lot) and those new components are hard to get coordinated so early in the day.. and just about the time a boy gets adjusted to being a pre-teenager, them dam HORMONES kick in… and further, with a houseful of sisters, what’s a boy to do but run and hide in the AM?
This is how I usually feel nowadays on mornings where I don’t have anything planned or to go to that morning (like school, work, or some other meeting/convention/event.) I’m ESPECIALLY like this on weekend mornings.

Yesterday, girls were like slugs. Today it’s Calvin’s turn.

What dream lead to Calvin waking up as a slug?
Bilan about 7 years ago
That was me every single day when I was that age.

Funny how little boys have to be physically dragged from the bed on weekdays, but on weekends and holidays they’re up before dawn!

Kafka is old school. I like Kockroach by William Lashner (written under the name of Tyler Knox).
