I openly – but NOT proudly – admit to taking all “easy A” classes in high school: Drama, Chorus, Art, Speech & Debate, etc., taking the bare minimum of Science, Math and History to satisfy credits. My older daughter is doing me proud by taking all Level 3 and 4 courses, by her own choice (following teachers’ recommendation). She also has her mind set of a few “extracurriculars” when she starts high school next week.
Play the Cymbals, Paige. That’s what all the girls who were “in love” with the drummers did to spend time with them without needing to really do anything important.

I would’ve thought her going those extracurricular activities would be for meeting cute guys.

I went to a private all-boys high school. We didn’t have “easy A” courses. You could only pick “elective” courses in your senior year.

If she can twirl a baton, she’s got it made.

French Club would be an after school activity, so that doesn’t help you get out of real work.
