Parenting Manual: Rather than telling a kid not to do something engage them in another activity, like taking them outside to play ( and play with them )

Does anyone ever wonder why Calvin never made it to being seven years old?

Pretty sure “play the saxophone” is not exactly what he does

Ooh, Cal’s Dad channels my Dad. You never dared to be a pain or say “I’m bored”, especially if ol’ Pa was busy (or mad). My father would then find ways to occupy your time. Always involving a menial task and started with the quote"You must need something to occupy your time…"

Grey hairs are hereditary. You get them from your children.

Thank you again, Bill Watterson for still continuing to put me off having kids for life.

And people out there better not say “You’ll change your mind” I’ll only listen to them if they can predict the winning lottery numbers too.

    Just saying.

    xxx
