Fourth wall gags are all the rage these days.

Did they get a new artist? A really self-centered, needy new artist? No, I’m asking…

It’s art. Spectators do not get to tell an artist what to produce, or how to do it. If you don’t like what an artist creates, don’t look. Or, on the other hand, you may create your own art, and personally enjoy your critics’ comments.

Okay. So when is Deadpool going to make a cameo?

Hart died in 2007 (at the drawing board) and Mason Mastroianni has been creating it since then. I’m not certain but I think that adding his signature, 10 years after taking over the strip, might be fairly recent. This might be a way of taking ownership of his work. If I’m wrong, and I well might be, don’t blame the artist. This is pure guesswork on my part.

I think Curls would be a better choice for this chain.

Maybe you can smash it with your foot. Or roll a big rock onto it. Or maybe Gronk will eat it…

What happened to this strip???? I used to love it and now it’s not even a tad funny. Just very STUPID! Go back where you came from, Mason, and get the real artist back!!!!

It’s pretty sad when the comments are more entertaining than the strip.

Just remember there is a real human being who writes and draws this, reading these comments, some of which are cruel. And he also is having to read some unsavory things about his grandfather, which can’t be a carnival. It’s okay to not like a comic – but it’s really low-class to offer insults instead of constructive criticisms.
