When I was VERY little and “Zorro” was running on television, my Mom and Dad came home one day to discover that Zorro had left his mark numerous times on the living room wall. They then proceeded to leave their mark on me.
I was about 7 when Disney’s Zorro came on TV. My Aunt went to a store known as the “Five and Dime” and bought up all the plastic “Zorro swords” they had – they were very beautifully patterned after the type of sword Zorro used on the show – and gave me one. When I broke it, because I was attempting to imitate the vigorous fencing moves depicted in the show, she gave me another, and so on, until she ran out, about the time the show went off the air a year or so later. She also sewed me a black cape with an actual draw- string tie at the neck. Still one of my all-time favorite shows.

When the full moon is bright,
Lies a sluggard known as Snorro…!"
