@napaeric, you’re right! The first time I heard anyone ask for “room” was at a starbucks when I ordered a regular coffee for my husband. I asked twice “What?”, still didn’t understand what she meant, and just said “No.” But when my husband had to pour a little out the cup just to make “room” for the cream and sugar, I realized what she actually meant. Instead of just saying “room”, she should have just explained it “Do you want some room left in the cup to add cream?”
