So which of the circles put him up to it? There seem to be so many these days in Endtown…

Ahhh, looks like he’s on hand for a show trial, where a win would be one of those Bob Ross happy accidents.

that she is talking to him is a good thing, I think he might be able to get her the 1st fair trial in Endtown.

In reality opposite defend. Black lawyer defends white KKKer in court. Jews representing Nazis and so on. A nice turn on that only to be found in End Town.

For those asking yesterday, Cooper is the fishhead mutant who warned that something had to be done about Jackrabbit’s ambitions. He appears to be doing something. He’s the guy who met the newspaper editor at night to talk about article placement. Probably articles about food shortages, when according to Jackrabbit, there’s no shortage. I thought he might have hired Fairweather to represent Heather, and he may think he did, but Fairweather appears to have other plans.

Sounds a bit like ulterior motives working at cross purposes. I get the feeling that there are multiple groups working in the shadows and that some of the turmoil that has spilled out into the public spotlight may well be unintended consequences. There are power struggles going on, but at least one faction seems to understand that if Endtown self-destructs, it doesn’t really matter who had the upper hand at the end. Kind of like playing “King of the Hill” on an active volcano…. ;-)

Heather doesn’t seem nearly as distraught as when she was speaking with the chief… ;-)

The trial will be intriguing. The Milk Trial addressed (sorta) the issue/disposition/use of eggs and milk produced by human mutants resembling chickens and cows. Now perhaps we’ll see more discussion of whether the Endtown inhabitants are indeed humans in mutated bodies (as Fairweather asserts) or anthros whose behavior and characteristics more closely align with the animals they resemble and should be so.

Do you get the feeling Heather’s going to be thrown to the wolves?
