Oh, Gaturrín being friends with that one bird and playing rock-paper-scissors therewith. (What’s a pavote?)

GATURRO: “Watch out, Gaturrin, you do not know what that little bird is, Gaturrin!” In some translations, “amod” means love (note the heart in panel 2). And, in some translations, “pavote” or “pavo” means a kind of bird…maybe a turkey. Is the enraged Gaturrin calling Gaturro a turkey?

MARY WORTH: Today’s quote about truth is from Elvis Presley: “Truth is like the sun, you can shut it out for a time, but it ain’t going away.”

FUNKY W: Today’s quote, from the guy in the alien outfit: “And do you all believe in long-haul love?”

REX MORGAN: This all seems a little too pat. Will Margie suddenly disappear? Is it possible she is not really ill, but just wanted to find a good home for her kid? I hope I’m wrong…

PHANTOM: Do we start a new story next week?

REX MORGAN: This sounds all cut and dry.

MARY WORTH: At least we got some action for a change.

Rex Morgan – @Florchi and Woodworker, That hadn’t occurred to me.

Mary Worth – Good quotation! Too bad Dawn can’t read it.

Funky – I don’t read sideways strips, and I don’t like Batiuk’s handling of weddings.
