Tom, stop crying. Pig must own the book in order to dust around it.
Pig’s not very good at reading people.
I bet Pig makes all authors cry after picking up their books, dusting them, and putting them back.
Tom? Tom Batiuk? ;O)
Cartoonists too.
I have a couple of regional interest books out. One day someone said, “Oh yeah, I got your book. Keep it in the bathroom.” Made my day.
Ouch
I have Jimmy Durante’s song (I’LL NEVER FORGET) THE DAY I READ A BOOK floating through my head now.
Yesterday a mayonnaise jar, today an author named Tom. Obviously we are offering homage to Tom Robbins and the tomato-mayonnaise-whitebread sandwich.
We will always have books.
That’s what I think.

Authors don’t care if you pick up their book because you’re dusting. They just want to know that you can’t put it down.
Pig is so sensitive! He’s made for today’s sensibilities.
Authors used to be made of tougher stuff. Think Hunter Thompson. He’d probably shoot Pig, or at least beat the bacon out of him, in a drunken fury….
Couldn’t put it down…. there was jam on my fingers.
Nobody reads classics these days…assuming Tom writes classic books.
