Sessons will get him an honorary doctorate in Physics, and he’ll be Trump’s sole advisor on science.

Unfair stereotyping. They should be coal miners.

About a decade ago, Asian groups challenged Affirmative Action for college admissions in California. They won. The entry rate for certain minority groups went down, but the graduation rates didn’t.

I’ve always wondered, " How many Cracker Barrel Restaurants are in Georgia?" to speak of ‘stereotypes’. And, more to the point, crackers are usually crisp and toasted a very light brown in places, so how does it reference at all. Of course the only “white” men I ever saw (other than albinos) were soldiers that had “bled out” on the battle field – most Caucasians are actually more of a pink unless they’ve got a tan. But I guess “Pink Supremacy” doesn’t have the same cachet, does it?

Yeah I think mr. Jones you missed the mark. But your intentions were good. And that should count for something.

You would think that by now we would not let people with strong personal prejudices oversee justice. Our actions seem to continue to move us further away from the Constitution’s intent with each new president lately.

Race should have no place in school admissions. Nor should gender. A completely blinded process (or as close to it as you can get.)

Now there are Asian groups suing Harvard (and others) for discrimination. Good. The Asian groups have been getting rogered but good for decades by many schools.

I get that you want a diverse class of students. However forcing racial quotas and blocks are not the way to do it. I am not in favor of legacy admissions either. If you actually want any sort of quota, then base it upon an economic basis. Admit (and provide all that financial aid to) students based upon their need and how they grew up. Some of this nonsense is ridiculous.

For instance, in Massachusetts they had a federal Consent Decree in many cities that they had to hire “X” number of blacks and Hispanics for civil service positions. Hispanics was defined as growing up in a home where Spanish was the primary language spoken. How in the hell do you prove that? How? These quota and racially biased systems don’t work out well.

I know, I know there are other extenuating circumstances like poor schools, etc…, but come on.
