    Did anyone actually do the Math on this? Does it work out? I think it’s a further tribute to the incompetence and obfuscation of the US Dept of Gravity & Quantification.

    I think he meant reducing the mile to 3960 feet. If you increase it to 7920 (not 7290) feet, it would still be 20 miles per gallon.
