I had hope that the young McConnell would be a lifelong “across the aisle” proactive, pro-American politician, however, it seems to me. that his resentment (turned to obstruction) rules his impulsive non-deliberative actions. The events seem to be examples of causes of his shell hardening …

McConnell’s another establishment type whose goal is to be invited to the big DC parties. We need to dump him, McCain & the other spineless, squishy moderates.

@bwr…right. Sure. McConnell is blocking the true believers from doing their worst. To you, compromise is a dirty word. Solving problems is less important than bellowing out your rigid ideologies. Meanwhile, you celebrate the mentally ill liar in the White House. Just how delusional does one have to be to hold these views? Do facts even matter to you?

Bottom line. The rigid right wing ideologues hold 25% of our population captive to an outdated, inaccurate, unworkable and amoral set of stupid beliefs. And, they hate education! No wonder they remain so ignorant. Dismissing factual evidence. Fighting other Americans for no good reason. Determined to hurt their fellow citizens. Supporting treasonous behavior. Racist challenges to President Obama’s citizenship. Voter suppression. Relying on propagandists from Fox and Breibart for their information. Yikes!

And to top it off, being led by a mentally ill liar with ADD. Nice play bwr.

I spent 5 years in office as trustee in my little town about 15 years ago. Working with other trustees and the mayor was slow and accomplishing the task of annexing a large business enterprise. The town and the business had a standoff for two years before a solution could be found. Committees work very slowly. Our sewer project is now just getting started. Those meetings were going on three years before I joined the council.

For a Republican their legislative session has produced an incredible number of bills. I can’t remember a time a Republican congress has been this productive, good job speedy Mitch.
