Animals (including us) have no off switch for our need to eat. In the wild eating is an ever pressing concern and most of the time is spent looking for it. Most of us here don’t have to now.
That would be 840 seconds, Sophie, and you’re still not getting any of mine. Sunday mornings, I get up, drink my coffee, and then fix me some bacon and eggs. As I get closer to finishing, I have 3 little black noses and one little brown nose pointed at me. I always split the last piece of bacon in 4 pieces, and everybody gets a bite. I offered some to the cat, once. She prefers tuna, thank you just the same.

My cat Macushla (left) is the same way. It’s like she forgot she just ate. Feed her again!

I woke up at 2 AM for my usual “midnight ramble” and the dog was sitting in front of the bedroom door. With his dish is his mouth!
