Could be my wife … if you look up Arachnophobia in the dictionary, you’re likely to find her picture! She can’t even say “spider” – calls them “you-know-whats” … LOL!
I once saw a wolf spider in an apple orchard. He would have spanned my hand. I wanted to watch him longer but my m-i-l jumped on him with both feet. I hate people who kill for no reason. Had he been in her house—-okay. He lived in the orchard. And if you ever see one with her babies on her back, you will never forget that. She and they looked like a big sparkling jewel with those eyes. Not all shiny black spiders with red spots are widows.
I don’t mind spiders, as long as they are outside. My husband and daughter, however, are arachnophobic. So many people think it is funny to shove pictures of spiders in their face or tell scary stories. They don’t understand how terrifying it is. Once such instance sent my husband to the hospital with a suspected heart attack caused by the fear. I wish I could somehow give these thoughtless people a taste of their own medicine. IT IS NOT FUNNY!

can’t be too careful with those black widows or brown recluses… they do bite like crazy (not that I’ve ever been bitten by either one)

It’s fall here in Colorado at the edge of the mountains, the really big spiders (tarantulas) are out for their fall sojourns. Huge!

I had to wear steel-toed boots for over forty years.

The steel toes are useful for putting her foot up Earl’s—-well, you know.

Kitty needs to get to work! Cats are fearless spider killers.

I always walk around the house in my socks. I don’t need slippers or even boots.
