It does not matter what you say. The husband is always wrong.

“Are we there yet?” How many times have we heard that question.

You got the go-pedal, Arlo. You can make it happen.

And how long will it take Janis to get there if Arlo stops at a Greyhound bus station and tells her to get out?

This strip would take an awesome turn if Arlo would kick her ass to the curb and sail around the world solo finding love in some exotic port of call.

Hasn’t she been there many times before? She knows how long it takes to drive there.

My GPS app knows nothing about how long it will take to get somewhere.

The text from the kids is funny – a modern version of “Are we there yet?”

Husband decided to take a trip to a Golden Corral for dinner – an hour and half and 2 toll bridges away in another state. (That is the nearest one to us.) We started at 3 pm. We had a series of delays in which we were delayed 45 minutes for a car stuck in the right lane on one segment of the trip. Over the first toll bridge ($12) and the next segment should have taken us about 15 minutes, 20 at most – took an hour and a half -second toll bridge $12. But the GPS with “real traffic” told us we we would be at our destination in half an hour. Two hours later we were sitting in traffic at a spot that should have take us 15 minutes and still the #@@!!! GPS said half an hour. At this point we would not be there in time for dinner even if it was the half hour. Just for good luck, the “occasional showers around midnight” had suddenly become dangerous thunderstorms within the next hour which have caused 2 tornadoes (in a non-tornado area). We inched our way across and got off, turned around and went home – 5 hour trip to nowhere – if the GPS had the correct time with traffic we would not have gone.
