Andy: I've ruined Thanksgiving dinner. Jason: What happened? Andy: I tried too hard. I tried to cook too many things with all sorts of fancy recipes and ended up burning it all. All because Mom wanted to prove I'm equal to my Mother. Now, what's she going to think of me?! Grandmother: That you're a chip off the ol'block? Andy: Huh? What do you mean? Peter: Speaking of chips, Peter wants to know if he can have Doritos for dinner.

I don’t like to admit it, but there have ben times when I was supposed to be “cooking” dinner for a woman I was trying to make a good impression on and served food from a deli or something a relative had previously prepared . I enjoy trying, but cooking isn’t my thing. I have trouble getting everything ready at the same time. When I’m alone, I can just open a can of whatever and call it dinner.

Looks like the smoke alarm had to be disabled otherwise the fire department would have gotten there you yesterday’s strip. Generally, when you can’t see the stove it is time to quit.
Anybody for eating out?

Passing down the family tradition…
(Those Doritos are probably the only thing in the house not burnt!)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
Our turkey was smoked over night. Soon most will be done. Potatoes are cooking. sweet potatoes are done. Family and friends will be over later.

Yep, most of us screwed up a few things on our way to “gourmet” success. I can still manage to screw things up occasionally, just not as often as I once did.
