People get offended by the oddest things. The existence of other languages, for example. Last year, I had a customer complain that people were speaking Spanish in broad daylight. My town is on the U.S.-Mexico border, and its population is (and always has been) 85-90% Latino. So, of course, my answer was “Sir, if the locals aren’t offended by your existence, I don’t see why you should be offended by theirs.” Somehow, this didn’t make him any happier.

Get a folding, pop-up umbrage; they’re very convenient.

Very inefficient, selling umbrage out of a different office.

With so many people taking umbrage these days, we are going to have an umbrage shortage.

Don’t you know it’s supposed to be unlucky to open your umbrage indoors??

There needs to be a separate office for drunk (or high) outrage and/or umbrage, and the sober kind. (Well, the non-mind-altering-substance kind……….)

They are going to make a killing! This could just be what print media needs to get back in the black!

Nope. You did it so we wouldn’t have to speak German (proud daughter of a WWII vet here).

I find this comic trope to be highly offensive! And I take (not “buy”: take!) umbrage!
