@Rhadamanthus I just wanted to respond to your comments of yesterday about the charges of plagiarism against this comic.
What you say might be true, but this is clearly a case of the person being stolen from aka “Pooch Cafe” being angry with these Kennel C creators for allegedly stealing. The Pooch Cafe artist cites 4 examples of these creators stealing from him.
Two of the comics are very suspicious despite the claims of ignorance by the Dogs od C Kennel creators. The other two may really have been coincidence.
And to the person who questioned why I’m an expert. I have a degree in comparative literature from a large state university in the northwest and I’ve been reading and analyzing comics since I was six years old.
I also don’t think comics.com would let me take a username like comics expert if I didn’t have the resume to back it up.
I don’t even know why you’re so angry I exonerated them for lack of evidence. So if they did steal it’s on their conscious.
comicsexpert not angry, just curious what makes you an expert. I’ve been doing the same since age 5, am I an expert too, even without a degree in literature?
At any rate, I enjoy both strips and don’t really care one way or the other.
lol. I love how “comicsexpert” claims to be an expert and we are just supposed to believe it. very funny!!! I can say I am an astronaut, and you all have to believe anything I say about space travel, etc, and that doesn’t make it true.
Believe it or not carlos.gomez, that is entirely up to you.
I just thought these artists should get their day in court after being accused of stealing jokes from other comics. I didn’t say they did steal, but many other outlets reported on it.
And you’ll be happy to know, that I don’t think they did steal.
Actually, I have no anger concerning any comments made. I do agree that if the cartoonists you mentioned did complain as you say then that is indeed another matter.
My statement is merely that, for the most part, the majority of cartoonists are familiar with each others’ works and cannot help but be influenced by ideas that strike their fancy.
As to anyone being upset by someones’ observations and opinions, I would say don’t be so sensitive. Responding with high dudgeon merely makes your own opinions seem suspect to others.

I’m an expert, because I can answer any question there is about comics. Theory, author, start dates etc.
I think you’d be happy I exonerated these artists from the plagiarism charge.

Let’s all kiss and makeup and enjoy the comics. The writers/creators can work this out.
