Mammals came in several stages. The mammal-like reptiles some of which toward the end of the Permian may have had actual hair-like fibers. There were three waves of mammals. The first a mammals that lay eggs. Only two types of those exist now in Australian continent. Followed by the pouched mammals that still rule Australia and finally the type that have placentals for their embryo development mostly inside the female. Even during the height of the reign of dinosaurs some mammals reached the size of a flying squirrel or stoat.

Bats go back at least 52 million years and they had claws on their wings and didn’t have echolocation yet.

Goths are merely people who like dark things and often wear black. They are not evil.
