My goodness! I think he’s actually looking out for Wolfe! He knows what’s going to happen at that party and he doesn’t want him to get hurt! Amazing! (Here’s hoping, anyway)! Of course, Wolfe & Company will be there. Not much of a story if they just chill in the Pub all night. Besides, I strongly suspect that whatever is about to happen will fall squarely into their job description!
I don’t get the fainting thing. He knows O’Malley sees auras and spirits and stuff and they don’t seem that horrific. I’d be more irritated at being color blind, myself.

Poor Ben, he’s a gentle soul and is a wee bit overcome. He just needs to lie down in a quiet place for a minute or so.
