    There really weren’t that many joggers back then, in fact, running didn’t really take off until the 70s. If you were much into physical fitness beyond walking back then, people tended to look at you as a dumb musclehead. Just take a look at the lousy muscle tone and bony physiques of people in pictures from that time.
