As Moose Tracs leads Nick “Sky” Hawker, I’m holding out the scrappy, savvy Mike Fillion, who looked as big as Tebow standing next to GilPa yesterday, has the ball on his hip carrying out the fake all the way into the end zone. He has so much daylight, even Wally Lamb could make it.
In all reality , Heather Burns drew this play up and left it with Gil if it works Gil will take all the credit ! Meanwhile , the Milford fans are chanting Ex Lax ,Ex Lax , opens the hole .
Meanwhile, the one-armed ref is waiting for this scrum to end so he can call for a measurement from the previous play. Gil has to go back to the drawing board after giving away his trick play. Or maybe he’ll just use it again like Jim Zorn and the Redskins trying the swinging gate 2 plays in a row.
So I guess QB what’s-his-name still has the ball, he’s running the naked bootleg. It all makes sense, of course the coaches would favor that play. And he is the only one with breakaway speed, so makes sense for him to be running it. Although you don’t really have to breakaway when going one yard.
As a running back, I was always taught to carry the fake by holding two hands across my stomach like I was tucking the ball away. I was never taught to act like I’m holding the ball with one hand, Maybe they’re taught differently these days.
Also, this may be the first time in football history that a player is stopped with EES…

He doesn’t have the ball, but he does have a concussion.

So neither the fullback, the tailback nor the quarterback has the ball. Perhaps Ellis is right, the center has it.

Okay, what the hell are those scribbles on Nick’s shoulder in P2? His number is supposed to be there. And it magically is there in P3.
And speaking of magic, no magic was involved in preparing today’s Mopped Up Thorp. Not much creativity either.
