There is going to be the waiter’s DNA in the next course.

‘Working’? That’s a new one to me. I am glad that all the places I eat out just use regular English.

At least you waited to be insulting after receiving your food; bad idea to do it before.

And because you know the twit asked “Are you guys still working on that?” – “And I’ll let you in on a secret – she’s not a guy!”

I use that fairly regularly on wait types.

A pet peeve of mine coming from wait staff. The other is, “How’s that tasting?” Answer: “I’ll ask it.”

Playing devil’s advocate here; Waiters and waitresses work hard, get paid less than minimum wage because tips are assumed, have more than just your table to care for, and on top of that have to deal with the general public. They know a couple is comprised of a man and woman generally. They don’t want tips, they need them to pay the bills. They want a place to live, they want to pay power, water Dr. bills, they need tips. That tastes just fine would be fine, they don’t have time for your English lesson, and finally, yours is not the only table they care for, a thumbs up will work if needed. Next time you go out to eat, give waitstaff a break, a generous tip wouldn’t hurt either.
