Comic’s a little late tonight, but I was willing to wait and it paid off. I like the title she gave herself, she’s the matriarch of the market, empress of the outlet, pharoah of the five-and-dime! However to that little girl and her mom she’s just a weirdo…

Birds do occasionally find their way into large stores, such as Home Depot.

I like the birds Bea drew in the market, really shows how big the place is. The only place I’ve ever been to that had birds nesting in it was a Home Depot, as a kid I wondered why I never saw them around the bird seed bags, still a good question.

Wonder if the look is based on any specific supermarket chain.

Ah, but to buy anything, you’ll have to climb down from your potentature…

So she is paying back for Sam humiliating her the other day?

Aww, look at her face in the last panel, she’s so adorable.

I like the birds sitting in the rafters in the first panel. I always see sparrows flying about in the local Sams Club.

Hilarious! Can’t wait to see Sam’s face!

I wonder if Ellie shops there. Sedine can use her perch to keep an eye on Sam.

Have to admit, I was expecting the shelves to fall. Happy for a different outcome!

I just have to smile at the Queen of the aisle. From her perch way up high sweet gams I do spy.

No, it’s Sedine, the Supermarket Shelf Queen, glowering from her perch above!

Wonder what that box of “BURP” is?

I have become attached to Sedine and company. But I would have to be careful to not spy her underwear being so high up there. And this isn’t even post apocalyptic yet!

Looks kind of like the grocery store I work at, complete with birds and a box of ‘BURP!’ on the top shelf too.

First of all I love this outfit and second of all, just because you can climb up the top doesn’t mean you should.

As a retired grocery stocker, I can confirm the top of gondolas harbor castoff products and random wildlife. My favorite find was a jumping spider the size of my thumbnail. (We waved to each other and resumed our individual chores.)

A box of Burps…somewhere there’s canned laughter nearby. :p

Makes me want to play Fallout 3 again. Sneaking around on top of the shelving shooting oblivious raiders in the face from 3 feet away. There is something about being on top of those things that gives someone something they previously didn’t have. Doesn’t matter if it’s an ability or a perspective.
