So they can make more money selling the meat flavored stuff to wrap the pills in.

Peanut butter is the answer. At least it is for every dog that i have ever had.

My mom had a dog that she had so much trouble giving pills to as well – she tried everything – even peanut butter and the dog would still manage to spit it out. Once time my husband was dog sitting for her and it came pill time, he just called the dog and tossed the pill at her. She was so used to getting treats that way that she just snapped it out of the air and swallowed it before she realized what had happened. Never had a problem after that.

Stick the pill inside a small piece of cheap hot dog. It will be swallowed without any suspicions of medicine being in side.

Giving pills to a cat, that is another issue.

My neighbour broke up pills into TINY pieces in her dog’s food and yet Lola still wouldn’t eat the food.

    Dogs aren’t stupid.

Faked eating the pill, looked at dog with Droopy eyes, let the pill drop in the begging mouth. Snap, swallow, wag tail. Mistress: 1.

My husband puts the pill on a Frito chip then covers it with squeeze cheese. Never fails.
