Turn the can upside down and rub it vigorously on a concrete surface until the metal wears through. Then the top can be removed with a screwdriver or pair of pliers. Saw it on YouTube.

The problem is that he distorted the top of the can cannot be opened with a can opener any longer. The problem with most cans these is that you cannot turn them upside down and open it that way.
