We had the opposite problem. Ours kept disappearing. Turns out our young son was accidentally throwing them away when he dumped his scraps in the trash. We had to go out and buy a couple of new sets. Son is old enough now that he knows better.
I just thinned out everything including from 30 spoons down to 6. Also knives, forks and large spoons. And…pots, pans, cookware, utensils, dishes and serving bowls. Feels good!

Ha! What about the eighty thousand clothes and shoes?

Sure I do. That way I only have to wash them about once a month!

I have eight. More than enough for two people. Get rid of a few, Auntie.

I asked my mother-in-law that question. She just said “yes.” (She’s 90)

Aunty: A household hint – Go to Amazon.com and buy a silverware organizer. They have some really cheap ones that might fit your budget.

For one person with a dishwasher, it is either wash them each time, or run out before the dishwasher is full of other things.

We seem to run out of spoons faster than the forks (or other flatware), so yes we need even more spoons!

Cutlery and flatware are the proper terms. It’s only silverware if it has silver. Plastic silverware is an oxymoron.
