Gaturro “Tano” means “Italian”. In panels 2 & 3 the bread is speaking in Italian, not Spanish, so in panel 5 Gaturro reveals that it is Italian bread.
GATURRO: The translater works much better (today), when I set it to Italian instead of Spanish. E.g., Panel 2: then … I’m with a schoolboy … how are you, senorina? very well?
