That’s aggravating to have someone rearrange your space. I lived with my in-laws for 2 years during the recession and I never acted that way. We were grateful to even have a place to lay our heads every night until we could get back on our feet. No way was I going to tell them how to live, how to arrange their home, and how to act. That’s the most disrespectful thing to do to someone who is showing you kindness by offering their home to you in your most dire time.

Tell her it’s YOUR kitchen. Don’t just stand there and let her walk all over you.
