    He may be right but I don’t think it’ll work since Sarah will be determined to have things her way and that’s not right.

    Why can’t her mom just memorize where she keeps things and work with that. It’s not that hard. Then when she gets back on her feet and is able to get her own place, she can arrange her new kitchen any way she sees fit. As I stated before, I lived with my in-laws for 2 years and had no problem memorizing where things were and if I forgot, it only took me a second to open a cabinet or drawer and find what I needed. Worse case, I would just ask where something was. Not a big deal. I certainly wasn’t standing there re-arranging the kitchen of my hosts to suit MY needs!
