Answering the phone with a “call you back” – acceptable, they know that they interupted and you will return the call (although, voicemail WAS available back then, or answering machines – how old is this?). The email, the text message, anything of that sort will be there when you finish talking to the person right in front of you. Learn some manners, and then teach them to your son!
