Maybe she should feel refreshed enough to find a job to help alleviate the financial pressure her husband is feeling. Their son is in school during the day and I’m sure her parents wouldn’t mind watching him after school until her and her husband get home from work.
Then again, I believe this strip was written during and about the great recession when jobs were very hard to come by, but still. She doesn’t appear to even be trying to find work.
When I got remarried 18 years ago ,I told her that being as you work at a rest home and do house cleanings for several people, you can quit one of them So she gave notice at the rest home. Now she only cleans for 2 women and does the laundry 3 times a month for one of them. Gives us more free time!!
