    My mother was like this. It messed me up royally—-years of therapy. Got relief when she died. You can be sure I behaved differently raising my own children!

    The point is that the parents are sharing the house with them because they lost everything in the 2008 credit crunch. Sarah has no right to use such tactics when she really is only a guest in her son-in-law’s house. She needs to be sharply reminded about that or shown the door. :(
