When I served on a jury for a civil trial, the others jury members were just as anxious to end this experience by coming to a quick decision. Not as fast as Jamaal, but fast. Though, in the end, their overly fast judgement proved to be correct.
My one experience on a jury for a murder trial…it was sooooo obvious from day 1 that the defendant was not guilty….they could have skipped the 2 week trial. At the end of the trial I was chosen as an “alternate” and dismissed…the rest of the jury returned a much lesser charge which was exactly what I would have done.
