This just reminds me of the story about my great uncle who was smuggled out of Czarist Russia in a hay wagon. The border guard thrust a pitchfork into the hay and it hit my great uncle who stifled his scream to avoid getting caught.

From doing the math and back-reading the newspapers of the era, I STILL feel justified in telling the tale about the day we spent at the circus when it was in town. I was only 4 months old and can still tell in great detail what happened, only just the noises, for it would take another five or six years that I would be able to explain it to Ma and Dad, which they highly doubted, but I could point out in pictures of the people and their two year old that went with us, and other, earlier blurry thoughts hard to recall, but it sure put the thought that “We’ve got a strange kid” in their minds. Must’ve been the earlier theory of “Imprinting”… Ideas?
