I thought those were freckles. “Spot” is British slang for acne.

Why you gotta roast yourself, Phoebe?

I just have to compliment Dana on Todd’s “color scheme.” The placement of the red and the stripes is just beautiful.

On another note, Todd is an extremely charming dragon as well as beautiful— gracious and generous; someone Phoebe definitely should know.

Todd the Candy Dragon lived in the woods

He’d take a breath and let it out, producing sugary goods.

Little Phoebe Howell wanted something sweet,

so Marigold arranged a date, so she and Todd could meet.

    [chorus]

Phoebe begged the dragon, “Please be my candy shop!”

“Would you be so kind as to barf up a lollipop?”

Marigold translated the dragon’s blunt rebuke:

“My candy comes from honeyed breath… It doesn’t come from puke!”

    [chorus]

My copy of “Phoebe and Her Unicorn in The Magic Storm” arrived today! Don’t be fooled by the ‘latest collection’ description—this is an original full-length epic* original adventure rather than a collection of strips.

*well, “epic” on a small, local, Phoebe-sized scale

Yes humans come in a multitude of similar shapes and many colors. Some of us are speckled with all the human colors at once.
