Doonesbury by Garry Trudeau for December 24, 2002
Transcript:
Jeff: Doesn't sound like much of a riot. Zipper: Well, the turnout was poor. The big game ended in a tie... You can't riot over a tie, so we had to choose a new theme. Somone suggested a riot to protest Trent Lott's salute to racism... That made it a civil rights thing, so we lost the guys who just wanted to party. In the end, we didn't even have enough people to flip a VW! It was a total bust. Jeff: There's always next year, dude. Zipper: Plus I got kerosene all over my Hush Puppies.
