Nate’s favourite strip, Bethany (a comic about Bethany’s romantic life that is usually read by girls), has been removed before, but Nate called the newspaper to get it back (which his dad was not very happy about).
GoComics solves the problem of the diminishing number of comics in the daily papers! HappyX3 and I agree. My local paper took out all the puzzles. A couple of advertisers got together and now sponser the puzzles as “their page”.
I recently picked up a few Sunday and daily pages of comics from the seventies at a yard sale. The Sunday pages were literally 6 pages long full of the classic cartoons, (Like Popeye and Mickey mouse but also of course peanuts). The Sunday assortment took almost an hour to read and ever comic I read was a phenomenal piece of classic humor. The daily pages were two FULL pages long and featured some different comics I had never heard of. I spent about 30 minutes reading the dailys. I really appreciated that whoever was making the assortment made sure to include on the daily pages, cartoons that were not on the Sunday pages, so you would get a different variety of comics for the daily and then DIFFERENT comics on the Sunday’s by a DIFFERENT cartoonist. Now a day’s my local Sunday paper has a funny page of two pages and the daily is 3/4 of a page. The humor is still ok for modern comics but the lack of comics now a day’s is real. What about you guys, do you live in a big city and still get more than two pages on your Sunday Funnies?
P.S. If you took the time to read all of that, Thank you, it sure was a mouth full. XD
Subtraction of the comics section and in general subtraction of the paper on the whole. We still get the Sunday local, but if it’s anything else we just go to the internet. News sources from around the world with just a few keystrokes.

Guys? I really hope this isn’t true, but what if this is Lincoln’s way of telling us he’s retiring the strip? :(

Prediction: The comics section will be gone and Nate will be devastated and complain to the local newspaper and the newspaper won’t even notice

Speaking of removed comics, my newspaper shows big nate like once a month. It’s usually replaced by rhymes with orange
