I suppose there was no thought given to, “In the future, people will be able to see these comic strips all in one place.” Memories are short and ideas are often tough in coming. The Three Stooges made some films two and even three times, just a few years apart, changing only a few details.
An inventor went to Buick with a new light dimmer. It would dim the headlights if it saw on coming headlight. He was told they were not interested as they already had one. He countered that theirs didn’t work. They said they knew that but his would cost $2.38 a unit whereas theirs only cost $1.75 a unit. I read this years ago, true story.
