Voice on phone: Sir? Your Dad is on line two. President George W. Bush: Not again...He's just gonna rag about Iraq. Former President Bush: Son, do you know why I decided not to invade Iraq? President Bush: Haven't a clue, Dad. Former President Bush: Really? I put it in my book. President Bush: Books are Laura's thing. Former Pres. Bush: Let me read you some excerpts...'An occupation of Iraq would have incurred incalculable human and political costs...there was no viable exit strategy...Had we gone the invasion route, the Unites States could conceivably still be an occupying power in a bitterly hostile land.' President Bush: I don't recall any of that, Dad. Former Pres. Bush: But it was reported in all the papers! Pres. Bush: I don't read newspapers. Former Pres. Bush: (thinking): Another child left behind. Nice to talk to you, son. President Bush: Listen, Dad. You're either with me or against me.
