Aw, man, doesn’t it get the same respect as a Christmas tree? The tree gets at least a week before being boxed up to be stored in the attic again or shoved through a chipper-shredder for mulch. Hey, wait, that could be the tree’s tombstone!
I like Dad’s surprising promptness and energy. But I would have allowed the Halloween decorations to stay out through All Souls’ Day, 2 November (a.k.a. tomorrow)….
